European Chemical Executives Association: Anna Nilsson is the new President
This is the first time since FECCIA was founded 66 years ago that a woman has been elected President. Anna Nilsson from the Swedish executives' association Ledarna is now the head of the European Executives' Federation of the Chemical Industry. The new and first honorary president of FECCIA is Roland Leroux from the German Managers Organisation VAA.
At the General Assembly in Schwabenheim on 10 May 2022, Anna Nilsson from Sweden was elected as the new FECCIA President. Her predecessor Dr Roland Leroux, long-time VAA Board member and former President of ULA, has been bidden farewell after ten years in office.
"Due to his special services to the interests of executives in Europe, Roland Leroux has also been appointed Honorary President of the umbrella organisation of chemical executives in Europe," reports the new FECCIA Secretary General and Head of the VAA Berlin Office Stefan Ladeburg. "We are pleased that with Anna Nilsson we will be able to keep the successful course we have set for the representation of the interests of managers and executives throughout Europe with full force and further strengthen the representation of interests."
In addition to Nilsson and Ladeburg, Bernard Steckle from France as Deputy Secretary General and Treasurer John Williams from the United Kingdom complete the Presidium. FECCIA, through its national affiliates, represents a total of over 100,000 members in Europe and, together with the chemical employers, is recognised as a European social partner by ECEG and the industrial union IndustriALL.
